Welcome to Berlin Explorer, the blog dedicated to sharing personal experiences about the city of Berlin and its surrounding areas. We first decided to write a blog just before we moved to Berlin as a way to share our experiences of moving to a new city, a new country and a new culture.  We want to take you with us on our journey of discovery of this charismatic and mighty city. We’ll share curious customs and traditions, Berlin life and style, its great architecture, art, gastronomy as well as alternative Berlin. Because, as we recently discovered, Berlin surprises you with every step you take. Let’s start exploring!   

We will be writing about many different topics and aim to give a personal view of our experiences. We hope that you will find our articles interesting, fun and useful especially if you are planning to visit or live in this amazing city. The aim was not to write a tourist guide or stiff and authoritative reviews of the best of Berlin (you can find that with a simple google search) but really to share our real experiences of Berlin no matter how good or bad.

Those experiences have been and continue to be pleasant, fun, scary, strange, akward, new and exciting. We have been discovering a little more of Berlin every day and we hope that you will join us on our discovery!
